Hopewell Waterwheel Powered Furnace National Historic Site
This massive water wheel at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site provided the compressed air needed to raise the temperature of metal to its workable level.
Water wheels have been around since ancient classical times, generating power to drive a millstone or create energy. In the midst of these conservationist times, I have developed a fascination, a dream, to some day own a piece of land with a river running through it and build a self sustaining paradise. These pictures will be the inspiration, influence, and concepts for my future water wheel project. The project will encompass European old world architecture and generate electricity.
