in the 1950's my father used to take me to the Melingriffith Works and show me the water wheel. He told me his Great Grandfather designed and built it. A James Jenkins an engineer who lived at 44 Richards Street, Cathays, Cardiff. James was also an inventor with patents for a recognisable hand cranked egg beater, and a tin plate polishing machine and also for a railway coupling system that I believe is in use today in the USA. I have copied of some of these patents.
